Chinese Language Instruction

CHINESE LANGUAGE INSTRUCTION
Chinese Language We teach Mandarin as a world language or a heritage to all of our students for a minimum of one-hour instruction per week. Utilizing a holistic approach towards learning Mandarin, the school was awarded a very competitive federal Foreign Language Acquisition Program Grant (FLAP) to integrate cultural folk art into our Mandarin Chinese language program. These grants expand and improve the current Chinese language program by increasing intensity and length of instruction time, developing two separate, customized curriculums and assessments for Chinese language instruction and learning (one for children who already know Chinese and one for children who are learning Chinese for the first time). expanding our capacity to teacher Mandarin, and enabling us to incorporate technology into the curriculum.
