Reporting Student Absences

If your child is absent from school, you must notify the school in writing in order for the absence to be excused. You can do this in one of the following three ways:

1. Fill out the online absence form. You must submit one for each child who is absent.
2. Email absencenote@factschool.org with your child’s name, grade, date of absence and reason for absence. Please include a phone number where you can be reached.
3. Submit a hard copy absence note that includes your child’s name, grade, date of absence and reason for absence when your child returns to school. There is a drop box in the lobby on the first floor.

Without an absence note, your child will be marked “unexcused”. Under PA state law, (3) or more unexcused absences results in your child being considered truant and (6) or more unexcused absences results in your child being considered habitually truant.

如若您的孩子无法上课要缺席，您必须向学校递交书面的请假条才可获得批准。您可选择以下三种方式的其中一种递交请假条：

Si su hijo está ausente de la escuela, debe notificar a la escuela por escrito para que la ausencia sea justificada. Puede hacer esto de una de las siguientes tres formas:

1. Complete el formulario de ausencia. Debe enviar uno por cada niño que esté ausente.
2. Envíe un correo electrónico a absencenote@factschool.org con el nombre, grado, fecha de ausencia y motivo de la ausencia de su hijo. Incluya un número de teléfono donde se le pueda localizar.
3. Envíe una copia impresa de la nota de ausencia que incluya el nombre de su hijo, el grado, la fecha de la ausencia y el motivo de la ausencia cuando su hijo regrese a la escuela. Hay un buzón en el vestíbulo del primer piso.
