SCHOOL OPENING INFORMATION
- The School District of Philadelphia assigned FACTS to a 7:30am start time. The school day is 7:30am to 2:40pm. We are unable to change the start time.
- The first day of school for grades 1st – 8th is on Wednesday, September 7th.
- The first day of school for Kindergarteners will be split between September 8th and September 9th.
- All Kindergarteners will officially begin, September 12th.
- Uniform colors are light blue, navy blue, white and khaki.

P-EBT MONEY
FACTS Families:
IMPORTANT – P-EBT money is being sent to every FACTS family! If you do not currently receive EBT benefits it will come in a plain white envelope from the state. It will not say FACTS. Do not throw it away!
Pennsylvania was approved to issue Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) benefits to families of school-age children who have not had access to free or reduced-price school meals due to school closures.
- All FACTS students are eligible to receive the P-EBT benefit.
- For families who currently receive EBT benefits, they will begin noticing the additional funds, for each of their District students, added to their existing EBT card beginning in early May.
- For those who do not currently receive EBT benefits, the state will mail a P-EBT card to the household address on file in the District’s student information system (SIS).

STUDENT SCHEDULE
Student school hours are: 7:30am – 2:40pm
These hours include breakfast/Morning Meeting, What I Need (WIN), outdoor/recess time, content courses, specials, and breaks.
WIN (WHAT I NEED)
FACTS will have a scheduled block of time for students to receive additional academic support from teachers.
FREE BREAKFAST & LUNCH
All FACTS students can receive free breakfast and free lunch from FACTS. We encourage you to participate!
TECH DEVICES
FACTS will be issuing each student a Chromebook this year. Grades 5-8 will use their Chromebook regularly in class and will be responsible for transporting it safely to and from home and school daily. Grades K-4 will use Chromebooks within the class. All students will be trained and educated on Google Classroom and internet safety and responsibility. We expect parents to be involved in ensuring that your child properly cares for this school device when at home.
G SUITE, GOOGLE CLASSROOM, & PLUS PORTALS
FACTS will continue to use G Suite products this year. Students will be using Google Classroom for student assignments. Plus Portals will continue to be used as a place to check grades, report cards, IEPs, and attendance.
