Singapore Math In our math program, FACTS utilizes Singapore Math, the mathematics curriculum used by all schools in Singapore. We are one of few schools on the east coast utilizing this program. In constructing the math program at FACTS, we looked around the world to find the best curriculum available. We discovered that in international measures of math achievement, Singapore students routinely score first in the world when compared with other countries, in 1995 they scored first out of two countries in 1999, they again scored first out of 38 countries; and in 2003 and Singapore again scored top of the world from among 45 countries Unfortunately, the US scored 16th, the lowest of all industrialized nations as reported in the trends in International Math and Science Survey. FACTS has served as a demonstration site for other educators and districts interested in implementing Singapore Math.
